Here at IVCA we care a lot for the earth that we live in and strongly believe we can make a change. Our non- profit organization is currently on a journey to educate not only the students of Hat-Yai but showing the importance of conservation to the whole world.
We are currently running several camps and excursions to the wonderful Pha dam forest where we have recently been hosting activity camps for students who have travelled from the city. A lot of these students had never heard of this forest before and quite literally live in the concrete jungle! This is exactly why we believe it is very important for them to come and understand the world around them whilst partaking in some fun yet educational activities.
We begin by walking about 30 minutes through the jungle, singing songs and conversating about all of the wonderful colors and sounds that surround us. Once we arrive to camp we will split up into smaller groups and given paint and brushes with a wooden plaque for you and your team to paint, you can really use your imagination here and enjoy painting a picture which shares an important message.
After we have had some morning fun, we will stop for a lunch break to relax and make new friends with the same love for our world! We will also discuss how important it is to look after the world in which we live and what we can do in our daily lives to improve the whole environment.
We then gather in to smaller groups, armed with a shovel and a baby tree and we set off! Looking for clear areas to dig a small hole to plant this precious baby tree.
Once we have planted the tree’s we try to label them for future reference so we can come back and see exactly what trees were planted at which time, we again clear the area for our baby tree to grow and have the best life possible.
At IVCA we will holding many events like these in the future as we need to go and check on those babies! It would be a pleasure for you to join us. Please follow our website and facebook page for any updates or upcoming parties in the forest!
