International Volunteer Community Association (IVCA)

IVCA is a local non-profit organization based in Southern Thailand. In partnership with local communities, established associations across the country and globally, and with volunteers that share our passion for making a difference, we offer rewarding and enriching opportunities to create lasting change. We are continually growing our association and engaging our communities through grassroot efforts by promoting further education and by restoring our natural environments.

Mission: Our mission is to create positive influence and lasting impact for local Thai communities and society as a whole through grassroots efforts. It is through awareness, education and compassion that our communities and our volunteers will further promote change on a global level.

What We Do

Education

We strive to provide cost-free and quality education to underprivileged children. IVCA believes that all children should have access to quality education – because it is a right and not a privilege. Our programs are concerned with all children’s educational needs, especially those who are exposed to poverty, violence, abuse, and/or exploitation.

Our educational programs provide children with invaluable life skills that will prepare them for a successful future. These programs include courses geared towards critical thinking, healthy lifestyles, and building self-confidence.

Quality education: One of the core values of the IVCA is to encourage the basic knowledge necessary for living with the added benefit of quality and wholesomeness at the same time.  For example, in teaching English to our children, we will focus on topics of peace, giving, social work, and the conservation of natural resources and environmental management while the teachers inherit the culture and skills themselves.

Conservation

We raise conservation awareness through various educational projects and providing support to local conservation organizations. IVCA has an evolving learning center, which provides classes and research opportunities to anyone in the community.

We welcome feedback and constructive ideas so that our current and future projects grow and continue to make a powerful impact. Topics of discussion include: environmental responsibility, consumption of natural resources, and our ecological footprint on Earth.

The Objectives of the International Volunteer Community Association (IVCA):

  1. Provide cooperation, assistance, promotion and support in regards to education for youth and schools in need in the rural area.
  2. Provide support for the dissemination of environmental management methods at a local level.
  3. Conduct activities to aid in conserving forests, natural resources and the environment.
  4. Promote activities that are beneficial to members and the community at an international level.
  5. Promote and encourage occupational cooperation among ‘member groups’ in a community.
  6. Have no political affiliation.
