Apart from the bustling cities and touristic beaches, rural Thailand offers a rustic, quiet and beautiful countryside that presents a new perspective to living and teaching in Thailand. International Volunteer Community Association brings volunteer teachers to the rural areas of Thailand to schools that don’t have the financial stability of those in the city.
The resources can often be limited and scarce, but the longing to learn and the wonderment of education still resonates in each of the children and local community members. Though curriculum is in place, the primary focus of our lessons lies in creating morality and goodness in the spirit of the students, motivating them through topics on peace, conservation, and creating a learning, lasting society.
We at IVCA have many schools in our network and aim to add more across the country to any schools willing to receive us. Thus, our need for volunteers. We are promoting volunteer teaching in these rural schools and seeking new applicants to allow these children to experience other foreign cultures and to learn English in ways in which they wouldn’t normally have the chance to do so.
